JOIN LATITUDE AND START RECEIVING BRIEFS

After signing up for Latitude via the application form, your credentials and portfolio will be reviewed by our team. If accepted into our network, you will begin to receive project collaboration requests from our Clients. Based on your skill-set, location and relevant industry experience, Clients will select you and discuss their submitted project brief. The decision to accept or decline undertaking a proposed project remains yours, however, you are required to provide an answer within 24 hours of receiving a Client request, or else it will automatically be declined.

ASK ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT THE BRIEF

Ask questions directly on your Client's brief in order to clarify things that are unclear and get any additional information you need from them. Ask them questions, propose improvements - even offer inspirations for them to consider. Wherever both of you are in the world, this helps make sure you are both on the same page from the start.

AGREE A FEE

Once you have clarified the brief, you need to submit a project quote. Agree on cost, time-frame and amount of revisions. Please remember it is likely that the client is talking to other Designers too, so be sure to make your quote a realistic reflection of the work required and your experience. There is no limit to the number of projects you can work on, but we recommend three per month as a sensible maximum to maintain the highest quality standards.



REFINING YOUR DESIGN

DESIGN & COLLABORATE

Once your quote has been accepted, it’s time to begin designing. Upload your design document and use the markup and annotation tools to explain your design choices or for critique and feedback. Our unique set of online tools effectively enable real-time collaboration between you and your Client. These tools include:

REFINING YOUR DESIGN

TRACK REVISIONS

Keep track of your project in your project dashboard. Choose to follow our recommended project cycle of one initial design plus two rounds of revisions, or negotiate a project flow that works best for you and your Client. If your Client needs extra refinements than initially agreed on in the brief, changes above and beyond the original scope will be charged at The Designer's hourly rate.

HANDOVER

HANDOVER OF DESIGN ASSETS

Once the Client is satisfied with their design, they will request their final design files from you. You as the Designer will prepare and upload all relevant files to Latitude and sign a copyright handover agreement which assigns all intellectual property ownership to the Client. Once your files have been downloaded successfully by The Client, this marks the project as completed and your project payment will be made to your Paypal account.
